About Us
Roland Seeman was born in Spain, grew-up in New York and spent 15 years a lover of
food and wine, art, travel, economics and sociology. It's been reported that his first
spoken word was "vino".
Antonella Pozzo Ardizzi was born in Milan, lived for 15 years in Paris, and met Roland
at an art gallery in Los Angeles. An alumni of Club Med and The Euro-Disney Resort,
Antonella's work in the tourism industry has never overshadowed her artistic spirit.
She's a painter, sculptor, animator and digital artist/designer who also happens to
cook. (Must be the Italian blood.) She is also a vegetarian.
Together, we found the Observatorio de Buzios after a 3-year, international search for
a home and home-based business. We had come to the conclusion that virtually
every resort destination needs more things for people to do (other than getting tan
and drunk). We loved Brazil and thought The Observatorio had amazing potential.
So we purchased the property and spent 1 year making renovations. Now we are the
proud owner/operators of a observatory/restaurant/guesthouse/art center... Wow!

Our acclaimed restaurant offers a varied menu incorporating techniques and ingredients from both East and West, always with a hint of the
tropics. Whether the influence is Italian, French, Indo-Chinese or Japanese, the emphasis here is on freshness, flavor and friendly service.
Our “chino-latino” fusion includes such dishes as Curried Risottos, Sesame-crusted Tuna, Chinese Osso Bucco, or Shrimp with Rice Noodles and
exotic herbs. Homemade pastas and gnocchi appear frequently. Fresh seafood is a specialty. Desserts range from Pear Tarte… to Vietnamese-
Coffee Crème… to tropical fruit parfaits. We have a full bar and a carefully crafted wine-list.
We are open by prior arrangement and can create a special, customized menu for groups of 10 or more.
We gladly accommodate special diets: Vegetarian, Diabetic, Low-cholesterol, etc.
